Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane will be without Gaston Sirino, Themba Zwane and Phakamani Mahlambi for his side’s visit to Baroka on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilians were stretched thin on Sunday as they scraped past Chippa United via a penalty shootout after a frenetic 2-2 draw.

Mosimane’s charges will now face Baroka just three days later and the game looks to have come too soon for the trio, with Sirino and Mahalambi picking up injuries against Chippa, while Zwane is still nursing a hamstring injury.

‘Sundowns always respond to emotions. The game in Baroka will be much better. Even though the win against Chippa United was not the 5-0 against AmaZulu, it was a tough one,’ said Mosimane.

‘We have to make changes. From Port Elizabeth to Polokwane now in three days’ time, it’s a big one, it’s a tough one. The game in Polokwane is a difficult one for us because we have a game in hand that we have to win. That one also we must hustle and make sure we win.

‘It’s not important how you win it and to play the Sundowns way when you have Themba Zwane out, Gaston Sirino out, Phakamani Mahlambi out. We have to hustle and grind [out the results],’ he concluded.
