Stellenbosch 2-2 Black Leopards

Stellenbosch and Black Leopards player out to a 2-2 draw in their league encounter at Athlone Stadium.

Stellies looked to be on course to claim their first win since earning promotion to the top flight through a brave save from Waseem Isaacs, but Lidoda Duvha’s late equaliser had both sides sharing the spoils in the Mother City.

The draw means Stellenbosch sit in 14th place with three points, while Leopards occupy 12th spot with five points after six games.

Chippa United 0-0 Bloemfontein Celtic

Chippa United and Bloemfontein Celtic shared the spoils at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium after playing out to a goalless draw.

The result has Chippa remaining in 13th place on the log with four points from six matches, while Celtic are up to sixth spot with eight points.

Polokwane City 3-1 SuperSport United

Polokwane City continued their fine form in the league after humbling SuperSport United 3-1 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The victory took Rise and Shine to the top of the league standings, while Matsatsantsa slipped down to seventh spot.

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 Maritzburg United

A late goal from Lyle Lakay launched a Mamelodi Sundowns comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over Maritzburg United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

This took the Brazilians to the third spot in the league standings, while the Team of Choice remained 15th on the log.

Bidvest Wits 4-3 Orlando Pirates

Bidvest Wits fought hard to secure a thrilling 4-3 win over Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The Clever Boys move into second place on the log with 12 points, while the Buccaneers drop to 10th spot.

Cape Town City 1-1 Golden Arrows

Cape Town City extended their winless run in the league after they were held to a 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows at Cape Town Stadium after Knox Mutizwa cancelled out Kermit Erasmus’ opener.

The result moves Abafana Bes’thende up to fifth with nine points, while the Citizens slip down to 11th in the log standings with seven points.

Baroka 1-2 Highlands Park

A second-half brace from Peter Shalulile helped Highlands Park edge Baroka 2-1 at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The win moves the Lions of the North up to eight place with eight points, while Bakgaga sit behind them in ninth spot with eight points.
