TTM has announced that Thabang Monare and Sifiso Hlanti have been released ahead of their transition to Limpopo following the sale of Bidvest Wits. The duo, however, were shocked to hear the news through WhatsApp and social media.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila announced on social media on Thursday evening that they have decided to part ways with both Monare and Hlanti as the team prepares for life in the PSL next season with their relocation to Limpopo.

It was well documented that TTM was always going to part ways with a number of the high earners in the squad which included the likes of Monare and Hlanti.

Speaking to Kickoff.com though, Monare revealed that he learned of the news through a screenshot sent to him by a friend, While Hlanti’s agent also said he learned of the news on social media.

“A friend just sent me a screenshot about it. I don’t know anything. I will speak to my agent to see if he knows something,” said Monare.

Hlanti’s manager Sizwe Ntshangase says he also just read about his client’s release.

“I don’t know anything. I only see it now in the media. I just called Sello [Chokoe, CEO], he said he would come back to me,” Ntshangase comments.

TTM has now made a number of statements through their social media channels in recent weeks which have raised a few eyebrows and raised questions of the professionality, this is another such case.
