Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp insists he will be reshuffling his team for their upcoming clash with Highlands Park on Wednesday.

The Glamour Boys suffered their second defeat in the Absa Premiership over the weekend when they went down 2-1 to SuperSport United at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

Amakhosi’s lead at the summit of the league standings was reduced to four points after Mamelodi Sundowns started the year off with a comfortable 3-0 victory over AmaZulu on Saturday.

Middendorp expects ‘tricky’ games going into the final stages of the campaign and will be rotating his players to avoid fatigue from setting in.

‘We will look at some reshuffling the team. With Frosler and Samir Nurković out on four bookings, we will make some changes,’ Middendorp told his club’s official website.

‘We have Ramahlwe Mphahlele on standby. As you saw on Saturday, Philani Zulu got an opportunity to play after doing well at training.

‘I have said it on several occasions that this is going to be a tough race.

‘There will be many tricky games going into the final part of the season. For now, our focus is on the next match against Highlands Park.’

The match at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 7:30pm.
