Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela says his side will go all out to claim all three points against Baroka in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.

The Glamour Boys have recently gone on an eight-match unbeaten streak in the Absa Premiership since suffering a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Chippa United in December 2016.

Amakhosi are currently placed fourth in the Absa Premiership standings with 35 points and have won nine out of 20 matches played so far this season.

The 31-year-old says he is pleased with his side’s recent performances and has urged them to keep the momentum going, to close the gap at the top of the league standings.

‘So far so good, we haven’t lost a game since the start of the year and we are in the top five in the league and we are with the pack,’ Masilela told the Kaizer Chiefs website.

It’s very important to stay with the pack till the late stages of the league and see what happens down the line.

‘Obviously, we would love to be number one at this stage, but what gives us comfort is that we are not in a bad position and are well-positioned to make a run for it.’

Masilela admits that he is expecting a ‘tough’ battle against Baroka, but he insists that Amakhosi will give it their all as they look to claim all three points.

‘We are expecting a tough game from them, right now there are no more easy games. We are well aware that they are not in a good position and they are going to give their all, so we need to make sure that we are prepared and play a good game,’ he added.

Kaizer Chiefs will now travel to the Peter Mokaba Stadium when they take on Baroka in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.

Kick-off has been set for 20:15.
