Chelsea ended Tottenham Hotspur’s unbeaten run in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge to reclaim top spot on Saturday evening.

The Lillywhites had the ball in the back of the net in the opening five minutes, but Spurs striker Harry Kane was judged to have been offside.

However, Spurs eventually broke the deadlock in the 11th minute when Christian Eriksen unleashed a stunning strike from 20 yards out to beat Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

On the stroke of half-time, the Blues hit back and levelled matters when Pedro was afforded time and space just outside the box to curl the ball into the far corner from 20 yards out.

The Blues took the lead for the first time in the 51st minute when a low cross from Diego Costa found Victor Moses lurking at the far post, and the winger blazed from six yards out to make it 2-1.

The visitors continued to press for an equaliser with substitute George Nkoudou causing the Blues defence a few problems down the left flank.

However, the Blues held on to their 2-1 lead to bag all three points and reclaim top spot on the Premier League table, ending Spurs’ unbeaten run.
