Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila has confirmed that the club have handed Tshwane University of Technology midfielder Tumelo Mowa a trial period with the club.

Mowa was one of the TUT’s standout performers as they went on to being crowned Varsity Football champions following their 2-1 win over University of Johannesburg in the final on September 23, according to KickOff.com.

The TUT midfielder will be hoping to impress Bakgaga coach Kgokolo Thobejane in the hopes of earning himself a professional contract with the National First Division champions.

The club’s CEO has revealed that Mowa is currently on trial at the club but still has to be assessed by the club.

‘The boy is here but I still need to speak to the coach and find out how he is doing,’ Mammila said.

When the Absa Premiership returns, Baroka will travel to the Cape Town Stadium when they take on Cape Town City on October 15.

Kick-off has been set for 20:15.
