The Glamour Boys are yet to win a Absa Premiership game this campaign, but eased their way into the semi-final of the competitions following their 3-0 victory over Free State Stars in the quarter-finals.

Giovanni Solinas’s side come into the clash off the back of a goalless draw against Maritzburg United in the Absa Premiership at the Harry Gwala Stadium last Friday.

‘At Kaizer Chiefs, we are happy only when we win the game,’ Solinas said.

‘So a draw is not good, I know this. We need to win the game because that is our destiny, we play to win.

‘We know it’s going to be difficult because we play SuperSport and SuperSport is a very important club in South Africa.

‘They have very good players and the coach is good. He’s got a strategy that he used against Wits, AmaZulu and Pirates. He’s strong with good preparation and tactically very good.

‘In the PSL there are no easy games. Every game is tough and every game needs concentration. Every game needs good preparation.’

Meanwhile, the defending campions SuperSport had to overcome Orlando Pirates on penalties following their 2-2 draw after 120 minutes of play.

Kaitano Tembo’s side are confident heading into their last four clash after ending Bidvest Wits unbeaten run in the league after securing a narrow 1-0 victory at Bidvest Stadium last weekend through a goal by Evans Rusike.

‘Well, Chiefs haven’t been getting the results and coming into this game a lot of people would be writing them off, which is very dangerous especially from our side. So that’s why it’s key for us to really prepare well, and mentally we really have to be ready,’ Tembo said.

Neither Lebogang Manyama and Mario Booysen will be available for the visitors this week as they are not match fit. They will also be without Joseph Molangoane, who continues to mend his long-term injury while Dumisani Zuma is out with the flu.
