Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez believes teammate Cole Palmer is the best in the world following his exploits at the Club World Cup.
Palmer netted two goals to inspire Chelsea to a 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the finals played at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
The England international finished the competition with three goals and two assists in six appearances.
Palmer also walked away with the Michelob Ultra Superior Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament awards.
Sanchez has since reserved special praise for his team, who he believes is the best player in the world at the moment.
“Cole Palmer is the best in the world,” Sanchez told FIFA.
“If he’s not the best now, he’s going to be in the next two to three years.
“He’s a top player. He shows it in all the matches. What he does is magic. When he gets chances, he takes them. Today he scored two goals, almost a hat-trick. Impressive.”
