Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says his side has to produce more consistent result following their 2-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

Shkodran Mustafi opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 59th minute but his effort was canceled out by a 93rd-minute penalty by Andre Gray before Alexis Sanchez sealed the victory for his side in the 98th minute of the match.

The 67-year-old manager has now urged his side to produce more consistent results in the Premier League in order to close the gap on log leaders Chelsea.

‘It was an important game, but not a decisive game. I think at the moment what is more important is for us to build a run, to have a consistency in our results,’ Wenger told the Arsenal website.

‘That is more important than to look at the table, because I think we have built a strong run after we lost two games. Now we are in a position where we have to build up a run, so every game of course helps to create confidence and belief.’

Arsenal will now turn their attention to the FA Cup when they play Southampton on Saturday.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
