Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table following their 3-1 win over West Ham United, while Liverpool secured a comfortable 3-1 win over Aston Villa in a hugely entertaining game at Villa Park.

Arsenal 3-1 West Ham United

Arsenal moved seven points clear at the top of the league table after they came back to secure a stunning 3-1 win over West Ham at the Emirates Stadium.

Saïd Benrahma opened the scoring for the Hammers in the 27th minute before the Gunners hit back through goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah.

The victory sees Arsenal remind at the top of the log with 40 points from 15 games, while West Ham dropped down to 16th position with 14 points from 16 matches.

Aston Villa 1-3 Liverpool

Liverpool moved up to sixth in the Premier League table with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for the Reds after just five minutes and they doubled their lead when Virgil van Dijk’s shot deflected into the far corner of the net before youngster Stefan Bajcetic rounded off the scoring for the win.

Liverpool’s win sees them move up to sixth place with 25 points from 15 matches, while Villa’s defeat sees them climb up to 12th place with 18 points from 16 games.

Leicester City 0-3 Newcastle United

Newcastle United moved second in the Premier League after they secured a thrilling 3-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Magpies secured the victory through goals by Chris Wood, Miguel Almirón and Joelinton, with all the goals coming in the first half.

Brentford 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Brentford in a thrilling clash at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Vitaly Janelt opened the scoring for Brentford before Ivan Toney doubled their lead but goals from Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg earned their side a point in Brentford.
