South African referee Victor Gomes has been appointed to officiate in the Caf Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Gomes will serve as referee in the upcoming Caf Confederation Cup quarter-final first-leg clash between Sportif Sfaxien and Nkana FC at Sfax-Stade Taieb Mhiri in Tunisia on 14 April.

The reigning PSL Referee of the Season will be assisted by fellow South African Zakhele Siwela and Mathew Kananga from Namibia, while Namibian Jackson Pavaza will serve as the fourth official.

Club Sportif Sfaxien made their way into the last eight of the continental competition after finishing top of Group B with 12 points from six matches.

Meanwhile, Nkana FC advance to the quarter-finals after placing second in Group C with nine points, two points behind eventual group toppers Sudan side Al Hilal.
