Orlando Pirates winger Oswin Appollis admits there is still a lot of work to be done on the pitch as he looks to settle in at his new club.
The 23-year-old joins the Buccaneers from fellow Betway Premiership outfit Polokwane City.
The Bafana Bafana attacker hit the ground running at Pirates after he provided an assist for Relebohile Mofokeng in their 1-1 draw against Pafos FC
Appollis admits he is focused on improving his game to help the Buccaneers get better results on the pitch.
“It’s amazing, but still there’s a lot of work to be done,” Appollis told SuperSport TV after the game.
“We wanted to win; it’s a positive result. We did most of the stuff that the coach is asking.
“And we’ll just continue doing our best on the field.”
He added: “I saw Rele already moving, and I saw the space between the centre-back and the left-back.”
“So, it was going to be difficult if I hit it in the sky. I had to thread it through between the centre back and the left back. And it was a good touch by Rele to take it in front of him because if it touched him [wrongly], it’s a penalty,” he added.
“You know, there’s a lot of work to be done, you know. What we wanted to win is positive. We did most of the stuff that the coach is asking, and we will just continue doing our best on the field.”
