Magesi FC have confirmed the departure of 10 players ahead of the 2025-26 Betway Premiership season.

The likes of Gift Motupa, Neverdie Makhubela, Deolin Mekoa, Rhulani Manzini, Amos Mokwena, Boikanyo Komane, Maboke Matlakala, Anathi Ngwadla, Given Mashikinya and Menzi Ndwandwe have all be released by the club.

This comes after the departure of head coach Owen Da Gama, who helped the club survive relegation and secure their spot in next season’s Betway Premiership.

Dikwena tša Meetse finished in 13th place in the Betway Premiership after securing 31 points in 28 matches during the 2024-25 season in the first campaign in the top flight.

Magesi will be looking to strengthen their squad as they look to build and secure a higher place in the league next season.

“Magesi Football Club confirms the departure of the following players ahead of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season,” Magesi said in a statement.

“Gift Motupa, Neverdie Makhubela, Deolin Mekoa, Rhulani Manzini, Amos Mokwena, Boikanyo Komane, Maboke Matlakala, Anathi Ngwadla, Given Mashikinya and Menzi Ndwandwe.

“Magesi thanks the abovementioned individuals for their contribution and wishes them all the best in their respective endeavours.

“Further structural changes in preparation for the upcoming season will be announced in due course.”
