Stellenbosch FC have announced that Faiz Abrahams and Vuyolwethu Andrieas have graduated from the Diski team to sign a professional contract with the club.
The 20-year-old duo spent last season playing for the club’s Diski team but following their exploits for the reserve team.
Faiz Abrahams
Abrahams was one of the standout performers for the Diski team, where he scored 11 goals and registered six assists during the 2024-25 season, winning the Footballer of the Season at the club’s annual awards ceremony.
The 20-year-old made his debut in the senior team against Kaizer Chiefs in February and made one more appearance against Polokwane City in that same month.
He also formed part of the South Africa Under-20 team that won the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt earlier this month.
“I’m excited for the future at Stellenbosch FC,” Abrahams told his club’s official website.
“This is one of the best clubs to be at in terms of developing and promoting young players and giving them the chance to showcase their talents.
“My goal is to play more regularly in the first team next season, and I can’t wait for the new campaign to get underway.”

Vuyolwethu Andrieas
Although he has not made his debut for the senior team, the midfielder played an important role for the Diski team this season.
The 20-year-old also formed part of the DStv Diski Challenge team that won the Next Generation Cup title last year.
“First of all, I want to thank the Almighty God for giving me this opportunity,” Andrieas said.
“I’ve always said that I’m willing to give everything for the badge, and I can’t wait to do that on this next chapter of my journey.
“I’ve been in the setup for a while, and that has given me a lot of strength. Training with the first-team players has motivated me to keep working hard to ensure I’m ready to take my opportunity with both hands when it comes.”
