The Blitzboks produced a scintillating performance to thrash Canada and progress to the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games Sevens in Birmingham on Saturday night.
The Blitzboks will face old rivals Samoa in the Cup quarter-finals of the Canada Sevens after a clean sweep of Pool C at BC Place on Saturday.
Coach Neil Powell and captain Siviwe Soyizwapi praised the Blitzboks’ character after the team rallied from a difficult week during which they only had 11 fit players.
