Southampton successfully stemmed Liverpool’s goal flow to earn a share of the spoils at St Mary’s Stadium.

At Vicarage Road, Watford scored two early goals and held off a Leicester City fightback as they secured a 2-1 win at Vicarage Road that keeps them in eighth place on the Premier League table.

The Hornets made the perfect start when Etienne Capoue converted on the volley inside the first minute following a neat flick on by Troy Deeney.

The home side continued to pile on the pressure and doubled their lead on 12 minutes courtesy of Roberto Pereyra’s brilliant curling effort.

Claudio Ranieri’s side reduced the deficit almost immediately when Riyad Mahrez converted from the penalty spot after Jamie Vardy was fouled by Marcos Britos.

Leicester pressed for an equaliser after the break, but couldn’t find the goal that would have secured a second point on the road this season.
