Liverpool and West Ham United were forced to share the spoils at Anfield after playing out to a 2-2 draw in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

The match got off to a bright start and the Reds took the lead in the 5th minute when Adam Lallana latched on to the ball in the box to guide it past the West Ham goalkeeper.

Two minutes later and The Hammers had a chance to level matters when Winston Reid put Michail Antonio through on goal but his effort from outside was well saved by the Reds shot-stopper.

In the 23rd minute, Aaron Cresswell tried to put Antonio through on goal by the midfielder was flagged offside.

The Reds then attacked on the counter when Jordan Henderson put Roberto Firmino through the on goal but he was judged to have been offside.

However, West Ham levelled matters in the 27th minute when Dimitri Payet scored from a free kick to guide his effort into the top left corner.

A minute later and Liverpool looked to take the lead again but Henderson’s strike from outside the box was blocked before it could hit the target.

In the 33rd minute, the Reds had another opportunity in front of goal but Joel Matip guided his header wide of the right post from a James Milner cross.

The Hammers took the lead for the first time in the match when Antonio put the ball past the Reds goalkeeper in the 39th minute.

In the 41st minute, Liverpool looked for a quick response when Firmino lacked onto a ball from Georgio Wijnaldum before firing his effort wide of the target.

A minute before the half time break, Liverpool had a chance to level matters but Divoc Origi missed the target from the side of the box.

The match went into the half time interval with a 2-1 lead over Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Liverpool got off to a firing start in the second half and levelled matters in the 48th minute when people t the ball into the back of the net from close range to make it 2-2.

The Reds were gaining confidence as the match went on and nearly took the lead for the second time in the match but Wijnaldum’s blazed his effort wide of the target.

In the 60th minute, West Ham had an opportunity to take the lead but Andre Ayew’s attempt from the center of the box just missed the left post following a Payet free-kick.

The Reds started to dominate the match and started seeing more possession of the ball as the game went on.

However, in the 69th minute, Henderson unleashed a thunderous strike from outside the box but his shot was well saved by the Hammers shot-stopper.

In the 81st minute , Payet had a chance to give his side the lead for the second time in the match but the forward’s attempt from outside the area went high and wide of the target.

A minute later and Nathaniel Clyne nearly gave his side the lead but he blazed his right-footed effort over the bar.

However, Liverpool and West Ham were forced to share the spoils at Anfield in the Premier League as the match ended with a 2-2 score line.
