England goalkeeper Joe Hart is set to complete a move to Torino, with Manchester City confirming a deal has been reached.

Hart has rapidly dropped down the pecking order at City following the arrival of new manager Pep Guardiola, who completed a deal for Claudio Bravo from Barcelona last week.

With Hart subsequently being allowed to leave the Etihad Stadium, the Serie A side have become the principle suitors.

29-year-old Hart bid farewell to the fans when he made what could be his last ever appearance for City against Steaua Bucharest in a Champions League play-off game last Tuesday. The star has been at City for a decade.

‘Yes, Joe Hart will play for Torino,’ City representative Jonathan Barnett told Tuttosport. ‘It is done. The goalkeeper said yes to the club and now Manchester City has given its green light.’

Though Hart is currently on international duty with England it is expected he will seal his move to Italy before Wednesday’s deadline.

‘I’m sure if there is anything in the pipeline that Joe will tell us that this may happen,’ England manager Sam Allardyce told the press.

‘We’ll address the players today that, for anything in that area, for us to know as quickly as possible and deal with it as quickly as we possibly can,’ he concluded.

Hart has made 453 appearances for City, keeping 165 clean sheets.
