Arsenal claimed their first victory over Chelsea in five years following their 3-0 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Gunners got off to a better start, breaking the deadlock in 11th minute when Alexis Sanchez dispossess defender Gary Cahill, before calmly slotting the ball past Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Arsenal Wenger’s side soon doubled their lead two minutes as Hector Bellerin picked out Theo Walcott with a fine cross into the box and he made no mistake from close range.

However, the host were  dealt a major blow when Francis Coquelin was forced off with an injury in the 32nd minute and was replaced by Granit Xhaka.

Just before the half time break, the Gunners extended their lead to 3-0 when Sanchez turned provider to set up Mesut Ozil, who volleyed the ball past  the Blues goalkeeper from close range .

In the 50th minute, Antonio Conte introduced Marcos Alonso to replaced former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

Conte’s side failed to produce any clear cut chances at goal and opted to bring on Pedro and Michy Batshuayi.

However, Arsenal held on for a 3-0 victory over Chelsea o secure their first victory over the Blues in five years.
