Chelsea clinched a 4-2 comeback victory over Leicester City while Liverpool and Arsenal cruised to victory in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

Cesc Fabregas netted a brace in extra time as Chelsea came from behind to secure a 4-2 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Blues enjoyed a better start to the first half but it was the Foxes who went ahead in the 17th minute when Shinji Okazi’s header sailed just over the goal-line to give Leicester a 1-0 lead.

The Foxes then extended their lead to 2-0 in the 34th minute as Andy King played a fine pass to Okazi, who volleyed the ball home from a tight angle in the box.

However, the Blues reduced the deficit to one goal on the stroke of half time when un-marked Gary Cahill headed home from a corner to make it 2-1.

Antonio Conte’s side leveled matters five minutes into the second half when Cesar Azpilicueta volleyed home into the top corner.

With the Blues searching for the win, Antonio Conte introduced Diego Costa for Ruben Loftus-Cheek after the hour-mark.

However, Leicester were dealt a major blow after being reduced to 10 men in the 90th minute when Wasilewski received a second bookable offence for a foul Diego Costa.

The game was forced into extra-time, but Chelsea went ahead shortly after the restart as Fabregas gave the Blues the lead for the first time from close range after some good build-up play.

Two minutes later, Chelsea’s then extended their lead when a poor clearance landed at the feet of Fabregas, who volleyed home from 12-yards out to make it 4-2.

Chelsea held on win the match 4-2 over Leicester City to see them progress into the next round.

Meanwhile in other EFL Cup matches, Arsenal eased past Nottingham Forest to clinch a 4-0 victory at City Ground, through goals by Granit Xhaka, a brace from Lucas Perez Martinez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Liverpool cruised to a 3-0 victory over Derby County at the iPro Stadium when Ragnar Klavan opened the scoring to net his first goal in a Reds shirt, while goals by Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi added to Derby’s misery.

While Everton fell to a shocking 2-0 defeat against Norwich City at Goodison Park as goals in either half from Steven Naismith and Josh Murphy sees Norwich advance into the next round.

A hattrick from Simon Makienok was enough for Preston North End to seal a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

However the match was sent into extra time as Lewis Grabban canceled out Makienok’s 10 minute opener but the Cherries did take the lead in to 76th minute before goals from Makienok in the 85th and 111th minute clinched the victory for the visitors.
