SASoccermag editor Wade Pretorius challenges South Africa’s most-capped player Janine van Wyk to test her Premier League knowledge.

*UPDATE: It wasn’t a good week for our pro, Janine van Wyk, as she only correctly predicted four results with no exact scores to accumulate four points. Our pundit and part-time Superbru guru correctly predicted six correct results, including a draw in the highly anticipated match between Liverpool and United, which earned him three bonus points to take his tally for the week to 9 and the win in game week 8.

Following the international break, next up is another Manchester United fan in the form of Banyana Banyana defender Janine Van Wyk.

With over 130 appearances to her name with the national side, Van Wyk reveals that she is a long-standing and passionate fan of the Red Devils.

‘I’ve been a fan of United forever,’ Van Wyk tells SASoccermag.co.za.

However, the tough-tackling defender is putting her support to one side and picking the Liverpool against Manchester United result with her head.

‘I’ve got to put my emotions aside and go with Liverpool to win on Monday. Just because I’m a United fan, it doesn’t mean that they will win every week.

‘At the moment, Liverpool are playing some fantastic football while United are still trying to find their style under José Mourinho.’

Premier League Week 8 predictions:

Chelsea vs Leicester: 2-1 (Wade’s pick: 2-1)

Arsenal vs Swansea: 2-0 (Wade’s pick: 3-0)

West Brom vs Spurs: 1-2 (Wade’s pick: 1-2)

Stoke vs Sunderland: 1-0 (Wade’s pick: 2-1)

Bournemouth vs Hull: 1-1 (Wade’s pick: 2-0)

Manchester City vs Everton: 3-1 (Wade’s pick: 2-0)
