SuperSport United goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse is relishing the chance to play for Bafana Bafana during the Cosafa Cup.

The 24-year-old who is not new to the Bafana Bafana set up, may get his first cap for the senior national team during the upcoming Cosafa Cup, reports Safa.net.

The former Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper now has the opportunity to showcase his talent and impress Bafana Bafana assistant coach Owen Da Gama ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics in August.

‘It has been really good working with the future of the country and learning all the time and giving my best it’s been a little difficult as it’s my holy month of Ramadaan but it’s a sacrifice I’m prepared to go through,’ Pieterse said.

‘I am looking forward to get my first cap for the national team and try to win every game we play. I look forward to become part of this family and if possible winning the Cosafa Cup.’

The Gauteng-born goalkeeper went on to praise Da Gama, insists that the coach knows exactly what how to get the best performance out of his players.

‘Coach Owen is a brilliant coach who knows what he wants from the lads and also knows how to get the best out of the guys and his very understanding and open to ideas which is very important,’ he added.

This season Pieterse has been the most capped goalkeeper for Amakhosi, appearing a total of 15 times while keeping eight clean sheets in the Absa Premiership.
