Bafana Bafana midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch is looking forward to working with Molefi Ntseki, saying he is a good coach who has no favourites in the squad.

The South African national team will host Mali in the Nelson Mandela Challenge on Saturday in Ntseki’s first game after replacing Stuart Baxter, following the British coach’s resignation in August.

Ntseki, who was Baxter’s assistant coach for the run to the Africa Cup of Nations quarters, has impressed the Orlando Pirates star in his short time as head coach.

‘I am looking forward to working with the coach again. In the previous international week we were looking forward to playing and representing the country,’ Lorch said on arrival at the training camp on Monday.

‘He is a good coach and works well with his players. He doesn’t have favourites and treats everyone equally.

‘I had not worked with him before. I only worked with him for the first time in the national team,’ Lorch concluded.

Many South African football fans blasted Baxter for not playing Lorch more at Afcon and the midfielder will be looking to prove those fans right under Ntseki.
