Leicester City goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler wants his side to use their underdog status to their advantage when they take on Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Foxes face a tough test heading into their next European clash with the La Liga side having only twice at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium this season.

The 28-year-old believes their underdog reputation can help them overcome Seville but insists that his side are mainly focused on doing well in every competition this season.

‘We’ll be an underdog, especially how we’re not performing to the levels that we want to. For a few people, we are the underdog, but that doesn’t have to be bad for us,’ Zieler told the Leicester City website.

‘I think we just have to focus on our own performance. We want to make sure that in every competition we get a positive result. We have to believe in ourselves because we’ve shown it before.

‘Sevilla have not only done well this season, they have been fantastic in Europe over the last couple of seasons. They’ve got a lot of quality players in their squad, but that’s what you expect in the Champions League. They have a very good team.’

Leicester City will now turn to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium when they take on Seville in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Kick-off has been set for 21:45.
