Theo Walcott was the star of the show for Arsenal on Wednesday as he hit a double in his side’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Basel.

Walcott continued where he left off against Chelsea against the Swiss on Wednesday as his brace lifted Arsenal to a comfortable win.

The England international scored two goals from his four shots, according to SportsClub’s Opta-powered match centre.

In just 70 minutes on the field, Walcott created two chances for his Arsenal teammates, who are in inspired form after a sluggish start to the 2016-17 season.

The 27-year-old playmaker has been a bit of a yo-yo man for Wenger in recent seasons but is slowly adding consistency to his abundant pace and goal-scoring threat.
