Juventus have announced that Argentine forward Paulo Dybala has renewed his deal, which keeps him contracted to the club until June 2022.

The Argentine forward has now signed a five-year-deal which will see him earn about £115,000 per week at the Juventus Stadium, making him the second-highest-paid player in Serie A behind his fellow team-mate Gonzalo Higuain.

However, his former club Palermo will also benefit from the new deal and are set to receive  €8-million in four-yearly installments as part of his transfer to Bianconeri.

Dybala joined Juventus from Palermo in June 2015 for a transfer fee of £32-million which rose to £36-million, making his Argentina debut not long after joining the Old Lady.

He has scored 16 goals in all competitions for the Old Lady so far this season and helped the club secure a six-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.

The forward also scored a brace against Barcelona to help his side secure a comfortable three-goal lead in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday.

The Bianconeri will now take their three-goal lead over Barca into their all-important second-leg encounter at the Camp Nou on 19 April.

Over the course of his career, Dybala has netted a total of 64 goals and assisted a further 33 from 186 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Instituto AC Cordoba, Palermo and Juventus.

On an international level, he has made six appearances for the Argentina national team since making his debut in October 2015 under the guidance of then coach Gerardo Martino, but he is yet to open his account for the La Albiceleste.
