Zesco United and Zambia striker Lazarous Kambole has revealed that both Orland0 Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are among the list of clubs chasing his signature.

The Zambian is currently in South Africa with his national team competing in the Cosafa Cup after enjoying a successful season with Zesco United, and is now looking to leave his home country.

The forward revealed to the SABC that he is yet to make a decision, though, but there are a number of clubs interested that include Chiefs, Pirates and also another South African club, AmaZulu.

Kambole admitted that he would sign for the team with the best package, as football is a business.

‘I’m not so sure. There are a lot of clubs that are interested in me. So, I’m not so sure which club I will be [playing] next [season]. Kaizer Chiefs is one of them,’ Kambole told SABC Sport.

‘There’s Simba from Tanzania, and there’s one team from Angola… Augusto, and two teams from South Africa, which are Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu.

‘I think the most important thing is what they will bring on the table because football is a business. So, whoever is going to come with a good offer… that’s where I will go.’

The 25-year-old has seen a number of his compatriots’ flourish in the Premier Soccer League, with Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga currently plying their trade at the Buccaneers, and he is confident that he can do the same.

‘They are here, and they are doing fine. So, if they can do it, I can also do it. I’m mentally prepared. It’s going to be a new challenge. It’s not going to be easy, but I know what I possess, and I know what I am capable of. So, I will come here and do my best,’ said Kambole.

The forward, who has reportedly already agreed terms with Amakhosi, has admitted that he is aware of the pressure around Chiefs at the moment, but he is prepared for it.

‘Even where I am at Zesco, there’s pressure. So, the pressure is everywhere. I am not going to run away from that. So, I’m mentally prepared. It’s all about mentality, determination, and discipline,’ he continued.

‘I know people expect a lot from me because they know what I’m capable of. They know what I can do. So, they will be expecting that when I come here.

‘So, I know the pressure that is at Chiefs, but to tell you the truth, I am equal to the task.’
