Bidvest Wits confirmed the arrival of 11 new signings ahead of the start of the 2018/19 season.

The 2017/18 Absa Premiership champions had a season to forget last time round as they were dethroned by Mamelodi Sundowns after finishing in 13th position and narrowly escaping the relegation mix.

After the failed title defence, it was clear that the former champions needed a shake-up and coach Gavin Hunt cleared out a number of players including the likes of Moeneeb Josephs, Daine Klate, Nazeer Allie, James Keene, Vincent Pule, Ben Motshwari, Eleazar Rodgers, Bongani Khumalo and Kyle Peters.

The club have since confirmed the arrival of Haashim Domingo, Bantu Mzwakali, Simon Murray, Terrence Dzvukamanja, Mxolisi Macupu, Vuyo Mere, Lehlohonolo Nonyane, Robyn Johannes, Brighton Mhlongo, Gift Motupa and Deon Hotto to replace those who had left.

The Clever Boys kick-off their Absa Premiership campaign when they host Free State Stars at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday evening, with the game set to start at 6pm.
