Former Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah could be set for a return to the PSL, with the Ghanaian international training with Bidvest Wits.

The 26-year-old is currently plying his trade in Sweden after signing a two-year deal with Helsingborgs IF since leaving Orlando Pirates on a free transfer earlier this year.

Clever Boys coach Gavin Hunt recently stated that the Ghanian-born defender has been training with the Wits squad to stay in shape.

Gyimah’s advisor, Ryan Hartslief, has revealed that the defender could be on his way back to the Absa Premiership if his current club allows him to leave.

‘He’s training with Wits with a view to a transfer. He has the permission of Helsingborg, and we’re looking at a possible January transfer,’ Hartslief told SoccerLaduma.

The former Pirates man is a regular at the Swedish-based outfit, having already played 24 matches while scoring two goals this season.
