Bidvest Services CEO and Wits chairman Alan Fainman insists that the club has not been sold despite reports and speculation suggesting a deal is close.

It was reported last week that GladAfrica Championship side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) were close to securing a deal to buy the 2016-17 Absa Premiership champions.

Wits board member George Mogotsi then revealed to KickOff.com that none of the staff were aware of any deal which would have them move to Limpopo.

Wits chairman Fainman, however, has denied all reports and speculation regarding the club’s future and insisted no buying or selling have taken place.

‘We’ve bought nothing and we’ve not sold the club. I understand there is speculation, but we’ve done nothing,’ Fainman told KickOff.com.

‘We’ve signed a player for next season but we can’t announce that yet. We’ll let you guys know if anything happens but, as I’ve said, we’ve not sold anything,’ he concluded.
