The Buccaneers have enjoyed a magnificent run of form since the arrival of the German coach Zinnbauer, with Mhango in particular shinning for the Sea Robbers in the league.

Pirates picked up four wins and a draw in January, while Mhango scored an impressive six goals in five games during the month, including an impressive hat-trick against Polokwane City.
Speaking to the media during the awards press conference both Zinnbauer and Mhango were keen to praise the rest of the team at Pirates, both technical and playing staff, as an integral part of them winning the respective awards.
