Despite signing for Belgian top-flight club KAS Eupen on Friday, Knowledge Musona could still move to Mamelodi Sundowns after his agent revealed that he will be leaving Belgium at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old striker made the loan move to Eupen from Anderlecht after struggling for game time with the Belgium giants.

Sundowns are known admirers of the former Kaizer Chiefs man, with coach Pitso Mosimane publicly stating he would like to sign the Zimbabwean but they did not table a formal offer for him, according to Musona’s agent, Mike Makaab.

Makaab, speaking to IOL, has revealed that a deal could still get done at the end of the season because his client is looking to leave the country.

‘It is highly unlikely that Musona will stay in Belgium next season. He is going on loan until the end of the season and then we will make a decision at the end of the campaign,’ said the agent.

Makaab admitted that despite an offer not being tabled he is aware of the interest shown by Downs.

‘As it stands we are not sure about his [Musona’s] next destination but, as I said, it is highly unlikely that he will be in Belgium come next season.

‘Obviously, they [Sundowns] have expressed their love for Musona but I can confirm that there’s no formal offer on the table,’ he concluded.
