Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says he knew it was only a matter of time before the Buccaneers unleashed their ‘true selves’.

The Buccaneers claimed their first win in five Absa Premiership games when they claimed a comfortable 4-1 victory over AmaZulu at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

The victory saw them move back up to second place on the league standings, level on 36 points with Mamelodi Sundowns, who have two games in hand.

Sredojevic has urged his side to remain grounded and continue to focus on their current form, following their dominant performance in their previous league encounter.

‘Since Chippa we have not won and it was not easy, it has been a question of being down with confidence,’ explained told the media.

‘But I always believed in these wonderful gentlemen and knew that it was only a question of time before they unleash their true selves.

‘It came [against AmaZulu], but when it’s good, don’t fly, and when it’s bad, do not give up.

‘We didn’t give up on Wednesday, we believed in our players and they paid us back with this performance, but we need to remain firmly grounded, having in mind that this is just one step.

‘There are nine more matches to go, with so much at stake, and we will only now think about Golden Arrows.’

Orlando Pirates will be hoping to continue their recent form when they take on Golden Arrows at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 8:15pm.
