After three years without silverware, Solinas is expected to challenge on all fronts in an attempt to end the club’s trophy drought.

The club has a congested fixture schedule this season, as they will feature in the Caf Confederations Cup in December, and Solinas feels the new signings will add the necessary firepower to his squad.

‘Lebo is a very good player, we need players that can help us score goals.

Solinas pointed out his experiences of playing in the continental competitions and highlighted the difficulties that accompany it.

‘You need a strong squad because you need to rotate the players.

‘If the players go and play in an African [CAF] competitions, after you come back there is no time for rest, no time for recovery and we need players to play in the league.

‘We need a strategy to rotate the players, this is why we brought in Mario,’ concluded Solinas.
