Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe ‘Rama’ Mphahlele revealed that he has nothing to do with the signing his former Mamelodi Sundowns teammates, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

The former Downs defender signed for Chiefs on a free transfer at the start of the 2016/17 season and has since been joined at Naturena by his former teammates in Leonardo Castro and Khama Billiat.

Castro signed for the Glamour Boys in January while Billiat made the much-publicised switch from Downs just a month ago.

The Soweto giants are also currently assessing former Sundowns defender-cum-midfielder, Mzikayise Mashaba.

Speaking at the MTN8 launch event, Mphahlele admitted that he is excited to be reunited with two players of Castro and Billiat’s quality but assured fans of the Chloorkop based club that he had nothing to do with them joining the Soweto Giants.
