The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that they have written to Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane after he made various comments in the press about match officials.

Pitso didn’t hold back in the buildup to the clash between Sundowns and Chiefs, making no secret of his displeasure at Amakhosi supposedly benefiting from refereeing mistakes.

Then, after Downs suffered a 2-0 loss to the Soweto giants, Pisto again lashed out at officials claiming that Chiefs’ first goal was offsides.

With his comments dominating the headlines, the PSL has written to the coach asking him to explain his comments – now it seems that Pitso could be heading to the DC.

The PSL confirmed in a statement:

‘The Premier Soccer League (PSL) prosecutor has written to Mamelodi Sundowns and head coach Mr Pitso Mosimane in relation to the comments attributed to him on match officials last week. The league prosecutor has given Mr Mosimane five days to respond to the letters sent to him to either deny or admit the comments attributed to him in the media.’
