Tuesday, 12 March

Maritzburg United 1-2 Mamelodi Sundowns

The Brazilians moved back to the top of the league standings after claiming a 2-1 away win over Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium through goals from Emiliano Tade and Lebohang Maboe, despite going down 10 men after Gaston Sirino received his marching orders in the second half.

Baroka 0-1 Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows boosted their survival hopes after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Baroka through a last-gasp goal from Wayde Jooste.

The result sees Arrows sit 10th in the league standings with 28 points from 24 games, while Baroka sit second from bottom with 21 points after 24 matches played.

Friday, 15 March

SuperSport United 1-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs’ title hopes took a dent after they were forced to play out to a 1-1 draw against SuperSport United at the Mbombela Stadium when Khama Billiat cancelled out Mxolisi Macuphu’s second-minute opener.

The stalemate sees Amakhosi remain seventh on the table with 36 points, while United are in fifth place with 39 points after 24 matches.

Bloemfontein Celtic 2-4 Bidvest Wits

Bidvest Wits fought back to claim a thrilling 4-2 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr Molemela Stadium.

The victory moves the Clever Boys up to second place in the league standings, while Phunya Sele Sele remain eighth on the table.

Cape Town City 0-0 Polokwane City

Cape Town City squandered valuable points in the title race as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Polokwane City at Cape Town Stadium.

The Citizens dropped to fourth place as a result, while Rise and Shine remain three points behind City and six behind log leaders Sundowns.

Saturday, 16 March

Free State Stars 4-1 AmaZulu

Free State Stars cruised to a comfortable 4-1 victory over AmaZulu FC 4-1 at the Goble Park Stadium in Bethlehem.

The win now takes Ea Lla Koto up to 11th place in the league standings, while Usuthu dropped down to 12th place.

Sunday, 17 March

Chippa United 1-1 Highlands Park

Chippa United moved out of the relegation playoff spot despite being held 1-1 by Highlands Park at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The result sees the Chilli Boys climb above Baroka to 14th place on goal difference, while the Lions of the North remain in ninth place in the league standings.
