Mamelodi Sundowns strolled to an impressive 3-0 win over TS Galaxy in their DStv Premiership encounter on Wednesday night while AmaZulu twice came from behind to force a 2-2 draw with Stellenbosch FC.

Sundowns brought in three new players from their historic win over Al Ahly with Thapelo Morena, Haashim Domingo and Lesedi Kapinga all joining.

The Brazilians started the game on the front foot and took 19 minutes to find the opener as Peter Shalulile laid a pass back to Khulsio Mudau, who unleashed a rocket into the top right-hand corner from the edge of the box.

The Rockets were then dealt a major blow three minutes later as Lindokuhle Mbatha picked up his second yellow card of the game.

Downs continued to threaten but were unable to add to the scoreline in the remainder of the half.

They, however, turned up the heat in second half as Haashim Domingo fired in an absolute screamer from miles out to double the lead for his side.

The Brazilians were in complete control and finished the game off in perfect style as Shalulile ended his scoring drought with a smart finish to give Downs the three goals and three points.

The defending champions are now 18 points clear at the top of the table as they look destined for another league crown.

In the other game, AmaZulu achieved their 14th draw of the season as they failed to beat Stellenbosch FC.

Ashley Du Preez gace the visitors from the Cape a lead with 29 minutes gone, but it didn’t last long as Ushutu found an equaliser through Matarr Ceesay just five minutes later.

Steve Barker’s side retook the lead in the 60th minute as new-signing Juan Ortiz hit the back of the net.

Stellies were looking to leapfrog Chiefs and Pirates with the three points, but Benni McCarthy’s side hit back for a second time as Thembela Sikhakhane earned a draw for his side.
