Kaizer Chiefs moved to the top of the Absa Premiership standings after their 1-1 draw with SuperSport United, while Golden Arrows beat Chippa United to occupy fourth place.

Kaizer Chiefs 1-1 SuperSport United

The Glamour Boys were held to a 1-1 draw by SuperSport United at the FNB Stadium after Bradley Grobler, who missed a late penalty, cancelled out Samir Nurkovic’s first-half opener.

Black Leopards 1-1 Highlands Park

Black Leopards managed to claim their first points in the new PSL season after they came from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw with Highlands Park at Thohoyandou Stadium, after the Lions of the North led at half time through Sphiwe Mahlangu. Lidoda Duvha struck back in the early in the second half through Lesedi Kapinga to secure a point.

Golden Arrows 2-1 Chippa United

Golden Arrows moved up to fourth place in the league standings after edging Chippa United out 2-1 at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, through goals from Nduduzo Sibiya and Knox Mutizwa, who cancelled out Boikanyo Komane’s second-half penalty.

Baroka 0-0 Bloemfontein Celtic

The 10-men Bloemfontein Celtic earned a hard-fought point away to Baroka after their 0-0 draw at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Stellenbosch FC 0-0 Maritzburg United

Stellenbosch, who are still in search of their first win in the top flight, were forced to settle for a point after playing out to a goalless draw with Maritzburg United at Athlone Stadium.
