The Premier Soccer League disciplinary committee has charged Mamelodi Sundowns with misconduct and bringing the league into disrepute.

The PSL released the following statement on the matter:

‘The Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee has charged Mamelodi Sundowns FC with misconduct and bringing the League into disrepute.

‘Mamelodi Sundowns failed to provide a home venue in accordance with the regulations stipulated in the NSL Rules and Compliance Manual for their MultiChoice Diski Challenge fixture against Stellenbosch FC on 1 March 2020.

‘Mamelodi Sundowns will appear in front of the Disciplinary Committee on Thursday, 12 March 2020.’

Meanwhile, the PSL DC has also charged AmaZulu and match officials and have now released the following statement:

‘The Premier Soccer League has charged AmaZulu FC, Siyabonga Mbatha, club official Mvikeli Shoba and the club’s former assistant coach, Mabhuti Khenyeza, with misconduct arising from their Absa Premiership fixture against Polokwane City on 20 February 2020.

‘They allegedly harassed, abused and intimidated the match official, Mr Tshidiso Maruping.

‘The PSL has also charged club official Mr Lunga Sokhela for bringing the League into disrepute for posting inappropriate and disparaging comments on social media.

‘They will appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee on Thursday, 12 March 2020.’
