Royal AM will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run in the DStv Premiership when they travel to the Orlando Stadium to face Orlando Pirates on Thursday evening.

The Buccaneers will go into this encounter on a four-game winless run in the DStv Premiership, with their last league encounter ending in a goalless draw with Maritzburg United on Wednesday, 20 October.

However, Pirates will have some confidence when they welcome Royal AM after they qualified for the Caf Confederation Cup playoffs following their 1-0 victory over Diables Noirs Brazzaville in the second leg of the second preliminary round.

Meanwhile, Royal AM are currently on a five-game unbeaten run in the league, having won four out of their past five games and claiming 13 out of a possible 21 points, with their only two defeats coming in the opening two games of the season.

In their most recent fixture, Thwihli Thwahla were forced to settle for a point after they played out to a thrilling 2-2 draw with Marumo Gallants FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium last Tuesday.

Ahead of the game, Pirates occupy seventh place in the league standings with 10 points, while Royal AM sits in third with 13 points after seven matches played thus far.

This will be the first meeting between Orlando Pirates and Royal AM when they square off at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
