Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has praised youngster Promise Mkhuma after making his debut for the Brazilians against Maritzburg United.

The 20-year-old was promoted to the Sundowns first team after signing a five-year contract following a number of impressive performances this season in the Multichoice Diski Challenge.

The junior international made his debut for Sundowns when he came off the bench during their 2-2 draw with Maritzburg on Friday.

‘We need to manage him and give him time to come into the team and you can ask me how are we going to do that as we just threw him into the deep end, he can play,’ Mosimane told his club’s website.

‘We had to put him ahead of the bench and you saw who was on the bench and he repaid us – the boy is good and the future is bright.’

Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to bounce back when they welcome Golden Arrows to the Dobsonville Stadium on Monday, with kick-off set for 6pm.
