Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane feels that Bafana Bafana needs a defender with Ricardo Nascimento’s quality.

The Brazilian defender was named Absa Premiership Defender of the Season after playing a crucial role in helping Sundowns win their record ninth PSL title.

Mosimame believes that in order for the South Africa national team to succeed they need players with ‘a bit more quality, while making reference to legend Lucas Radebe.

‘I’ve seen a lot and I know [the type of players Bafana needs]. Bafana needs a player like Nascimento, someone who is quiet, less mistakes, reliable, you know what I’m trying to say?’

‘Like a Lucas Radebe player. We need a little bit more of that quality and we need wingers to score goals.’
