Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila has confirmed that Orlando Pirates have recalled midfielder Marshall Munetsi, ahead of the 2017-18 season.

The 21-year-old, who spent two seasons on loan at Bakgaga, was expected to rejoin Baroka on loan for the campaign ahead.

The club’s CEO has now confirmed that the central midfielder has returned to the Buccaneers.

‘Yes, it’s true, Munetsi went back to Pirates,’ Mammila told KickOff.com.

The former FC Cape Town midfielder spent the whole of last season on loan at Bakgaga, making 32 appearances in all competitions, while netting three goals and assisting a further one in the process.

Munetsi, who signed for FC Cape Town in July 2015, made his professional debut on 26 September 2015 during a 3-1 loss to Black Leopards.

He went on to join the Buccaneers in December 2015, after impressing then-coach Eric Tinkler during his trial period.
