Orlando Pirates have parted ways with their head of strength and conditioning Andre Volsteedt.

Volsteedt spent three years with the Buccaneers, working with coaches Muhsin Ertugral, Augusto Palacios, Kjell Jonevret and Milutin Sredojevic.

He will now be working with former Springbok coach Henyeke Meyer at Stade Francais in France, having previously worked together at the Blue Bulls rugby team.

Volsteedt thanked the Buccaneers for the opportunity and support during his stint at the club.

‘I would like to thank the Orlando Pirates family, the staff and especially the chairman for the support and encouragement over the past two and a half seasons at the club,’ Volsteedt the club’s official website.

Pirates released the following statement, which read: ‘Orlando Pirates Football Club has amicably parted ways with the club’s head of strength and conditioning [coach] Andre Volsteedt.

‘After three wonderful years at the club, Andre will be leaving the Buccaneers ship as he prepares for a new chapter in France.

‘Andre departs for France where he will reunite with Heyneke Meyer, who is the current head coach of Stade Francais. The two worked closely together at the Blue Bulls.

‘The club would like to thank Andre and wish him all of the best in his future endeavours.’
