Orlando Pirates are fighting to get goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane fully fit in time for their Absa Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday.

The Buccaneers are in a race for time to get Wayne Sandilands or Jackson Mabokgwane fully fit in time for their Absa Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday, according to their medical team.

Mabokgwane is progressing well and is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the strength and conditioning department.

However, Sandilands, who has returned to training, is expected to make his full return in two-three weeks’ time after sustaining a broken finger.

Ghanian midfielder Bernard Morrison is currently undergoing rehabilitation on his groin strain and has not been training with the first team as he continues to experience some pain and discomfort.

Orlando Pirates are set to welcome Bloemfontein Celtic to the Orlando Stadium when the Absa Premiership returns on Wednesday, with kick-off set for 19:30.
