Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker insists that he wants his side to start and finish strong in every game they play during the 2019-20 season.

The Glamour Boys will begin their Absa Premiership campaign against Highlands Park when the two sides meet at the Makhulong Stadium on Sunday.

The experienced marksman lasted 90 minutes before being replaced by Itumeleng Shopane in added time during Amakhosi’s 2-0 defeat by arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup last weekend.

Despite the defeat, Park insists that their preparations for the new season has gone according to plan. He is hoping that his side can produce strong performances throughout the campaign as they try to end their four-year trophy drought.

‘Our preparations have gone according to plan,’ Parker told his club’s official website.

‘We had a good camp, the kind we have not had in a long time. We want to start strong. From the start to the final whistle, we want to start and finish strong in every game we play this season.’

Kaizer Chiefs against Highlands Park kicks off at 3pm.
