Kaizer Chiefs veteran striker Bernard Parker says he is pleased with Amakhosi’s new signings ahead of the 2019-20 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.

The Glamour Boys have already bolstered their squad for the new campaign after securing the services of James Kotei, Kearyn Baccus, Lazarous Kambole and Samir Nurkovic.

The 33-year-old turned out 37 appearances across all competitions for Amakhosi last season while finding the back of the net on three occasions and assisting a further four in the process.

However, Parker revealed that their new signings have brought a ‘competitive energy’ to the club as they continue to prepare for the season ahead.

‘The new recruits are happy to be here. They are bringing a lot of experience from where they were. They played at good teams as well,’ Parker told the media.

‘They have brought some kind of competitive energy into the team. We have upped our work ethic as well. It is good for the competition in the team.’

Kaizer Chiefs are set to take on Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the latest edition of the Carling Black Label Cup when the two sides meet at the FNB Stadium on Saturday with kick off set for 3pm.
