Thabo Nodada was named Cape Town City’s Player of the Season for the 2017-18 campaign following the club’s end-of-season awards ceremony on Sunday evening.

The Citizens ended their 2017-18 campaign with a 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday with a goal from Mbongeni Gumede.

Nodada played a crucial role in midfield for the Citizens this campaign, having scored one goal and assisting a further two from 32 appearances in all competitions this season.

Meanwhile, captain Robyn Johannes, who is set to join Bidvest Wits ahead of the 2018-19 season, walked away with the Players’ Player of the Season accolade.

Teko Modise bagged the Citizens Award, which honours new members of the club who instantly represent the club’s values of family and hard work.

Craig Martin was honoured as Cape Town City’s Most Improved Player of the Season after scoring three goals and assisting a further one from 24 appearances in all competitions.

The Chairman’s Award was handed to defender Vincent Kobola, which honours an individual for exemplary service and loyalty to the club.

Former captain Lebogang Manyama posted a short video on Cape Town City’s Twitter account congratulating the club and the players on their success this season.
